Re: GPU Program for Linux or Windows

It isn't that you cannot mine scrypt coins on Prohashing with a GPU rig: it is REALLY inefficient. I could go setup my gaming rig in my basement, turn on CCminer point it here, and draw 500-600 watts of power for about 500khash/sec, or I can use my ASIC miners, and get 15-18Mh/s (30+ times faster). ...

Re: GPU Program for Linux or Windows

GPU mining scrypt or X11 isn't efficient mining, as for the money spent, a single ASIC device will outperform it and give MUCH better results. GPU mining rigs are best used for coins that cannot be ASIC mined, like Ethereum and others. If you are hellbent on building and operating a GPU rig with mul...

Re: Very low diff port, for Moonlanders?

Same. This would be very beneficial for me at my 15-20Mhash/sec.

Re: Not a lot of shares being submitted

I imagine is it in scrypt. says: "Available values for scrypt are any power of 2 between 512 and 2097152, such as 1024, 2048, and so on" and d: sets a static difficulty for that miner. For example, d=4096 will, after the first share is submitted, reassign the miner permanently to a difficu...

Re: Not a lot of shares being submitted

So Appleminer and I bounced around the idea of the difficulty being very high for my mining rig (20mhs) so I tried to manually configure it in the password argument per the help file. Tried both d=2048 and d=4096 and neither effect any change. It appears as though the difficulty is still set at 16k....
