Octopus
I have an RTX 3070 8GB, running T-Rex I can't seem to find a good setting for overclocking. Using ethash settings (memclock 1350, cclock 1250) to mine octopus, I get between 30 and 50% rejects due to stale shares. I see several GH/s for the pool, so someone has figured this out. Anyone have a good s...

Re: All of a sudden the reject share rate went up rapidly...
I'm experiencing the same thing on an Nvidia 3070 (8GB), also using T-Rex. Here's the log when it started (times in PDT): "20220817 13:57:14 [ OK ] 3320/3334 - 61.25 MH/s, 182ms ... GPU #0 | 3.93 G ---------------------20220817 13:57:40 --------------------- Mining at prohashing.com:3339 [50.22...

Re: Loads of confusion
Mining anything on the 1050 wouldn't be profitable if I had to pay for the electricity to run it. It's just chugging away earning me some ETC while I work (my laptop, not my power bill). I only switched to Neoscrypt for a few minutes to let you know if it worked and what hashrate I was getting. I ca...

Re: Loads of confusion
The oldest GPU I have running is a GTX1050 with 4Gb. I normally use it for ETCHASH, but just tried CCMiner v2.3.1 to mine using neoscrypt. Here's what I have running: ccminer-x64.exe --algo neoscrypt -o stratum+tcp://prohashing.com:3338/ -u PROHASHING USERNAME -p n=MINER NAME,o=GROUP NAME Note: You ...

Re: Loads of confusion
Also, how much memory does your GPU have?
I think the 730 had a max of 4GB, which would limit you to using the ETCHASH algorithm to mine ETC. If it's not 4GB I'm not sure what you could mine. You definitely won't be able to mine ETH with that card.

Re: Happy Monday, all! How's everyone doing?
It hasn't reached 115 degrees yet, so we're good! Heading up to Idaho tomorrow with my daughter to pick up a Shetland Sheepdog puppy. It's another from the same parents as our current dog, who is 18 months old, so his little brother from another litter. We're actually taking the current pup with us ...

Re: Pros And Cons Of Taking Out Personal Loans To Buy Crypto
It seems to me that if a person decides to buy cryptocurrency, it probably should be done only with personal funds. I would tend to agree with this. I think it all comes down to personal choice, though, and how much risk/reward you're looking for. I personally don't gamble at casinos either because...

Re: Investment pooling
This may be simplistic, but couldn't/wouldn't we still be considered to be "mining"? The ETH staked being the "hashrate" we contribute to the "pool"? And all the payouts would be locked in ETH?

Re: Cryptomining expert?
Apparently, I'm most expert in getting my GPU set up, miner software tweaked, and system functional... just in time for it to make less money than the electricity cost to run it! * sigh * I'm also pretty good at buying crypto high and watching its value drop, continuously buying the dip that doesn't...
